Description

The Cross-CDT Dragon's Den Showcase 2017 is the grand finale of the first inter-Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) Dragon's Den competition run by Imperial Enterprise Lab. Students from four of the universities leading CDTs have been developing their entrepreneurial ideas into projects over the last six months through a series of workshops and one-to-one support. These CDTs are:

  • Neurotechnology

  • Mathematics of Planet Earth

  • High Performance Embedded and Distributed Systems (HIPEDS)

  • Sustainable Civil Engineering

We would like to welcome external guests, students and colleagues to see the finalists pitch their projects to our judges and to share their advice/thoughts on how the teams should progress further. The four final teams are:

Cocoon: A portable device for pushchairs to reduce child's exposure to air pollution. Team members: Melissa Berthelot (HIPEDS) & Martin Priessner (Neurotechnology)

Forex: An automated foreign exchange risk advisor for SMEs. Team members: Tianjiao Sun & Jo Schlemper (both HIPEDs)
